Designed for use in professional simulator setups, the Leo Bodnar SimSteering System provides top quality force feedback for replicating real world steering forces. The SimSteering2 system offers a completely linear, highly precise steering response which combines with a high strength force feedback system to give an unrivalled simulation experience.
Used by many leading race teams competing in F1, F2, F3, WEC, GT and WTCC championships, the SimSteering2 system features an industrial grade brushless servo motor to provide smooth, reliable and precise feedback from its compact design. The motor in this 54 Model is capable of delivering up to 26Nm of torque through a very high resolution feedback system, allowing real world steering forces to be fed through to the driver in both a powerful yet controlled way.
Setting up the SimSteering2 system couldn't be easier. Using simple plug-and-play electronics, there is no need to download any drivers or plugins. Once you have mounted the wheel and connected all of the cables, all that is required is to switch the motor on and you are ready to race. This is because the SimSteering2 system is set up as a generic force feedback device which works directly through the DirectX of the simulation software. This allows the user to experience the purest force feedback available. By default, the maximum amount of steering lock available is 1500° which is way more than most applications will require.
Mounting the SimSteering2 system depends on what rig or chassis you have. The motor can be front mounted to work with a range of simulator rigs which are available, or, if required, can be supplied with either a high or low profile mounting bracket (pictured right) to allow many other options for securing to either a rig or custom simulator. The wheel motor is connected to a control box via two 2m cables which allows the control box to be hidden away out of sight or mounted elsewhere.
As the SimSystem2 unit is designed to be used in professional simulator setups or for the serious simracer, it is not supplied with a steering wheel. This allows the user to be able to mount whichever wheel best suits their requirements. Whether you are looking for a small diameter wheel suitable for a single seater, or a larger diameter dished wheel as found in a rally car, the choice is yours. However one thing that you will need, is a shaft clamp adaptor (shown left) which secures onto the motor shaft and features both a 3 and 6 bolt pattern to match the most popular steering wheels available. This adaptor is available as an option which is selectable above.
